Wildtype Nursery is open to the public for retail sales on select dates in May and August. At other times of the year, plants can be preordered and picked up by appointment. Minimum quantities and sale totals apply for pre-orders. Find all the details here.
Wildtype specializes in growing plants native to Michigan, from Michigan genotypes. They grow trees, shrubs, grasses and wildflowers. It is their objective to propagate nursery stock with enough genetic diversity to create self-sustaining populations. They also offer services such as site assessment, invasive species management, native plant installation and native landscape maintenance.
9-21-23 The recent storms that hit southern Michigan did a lot of damage and Wildtype would like to help. We have a lot of great native trees for sale in 7 gallon tree bags, and some trees and shrubs in 1 gallon containers. We are going to waive the $400 minimum for those customers interested in purchasing trees from us right now. You can visit our website and view an inventory of trees we have on hand currently, https://www.wildtypeplants.com/.../8a6639.... Orders can be placed by using the order form found on the website and emailing it to us.

Designs by Nature provides natural landscaping, design and consulting, environmental education, and habitat management planning in addition to selling Michigan native plants.
